Traditionally, most companies don’t hear from a prospect
until that prospect is near the decision making phase of their
buying cycle. Social media allows your company to engage prospects
EARLIER in the buying cycle, when they are searching for information
about an issue. At this stage, prospects are looking for peer-to-peer
input and recommendations, not a sales brochure. Blogs and forums
are being inundated by business people looking for and discussing
topic-specific information. To ensure your business is considered
when they’re ready to buy, you should be participating in these
early conversations.
